COMMISSIONS

COMMISSIONS

My commissioned works begin with personal stories—family histories, meaningful figures, or ideas that carry emotional weight. Whether you bring reference photos for a loved one’s portrait, a well-known figure, or simply an idea, I translate what matters most into a layered, lace-based painting created with care and intention.

I take on a limited number of commissions each year as a thoughtful extension of my studio practice.

How the Commission Process Works
1. Conversation
We start by talking about your ideas—your space, preferred size, colors, and who the portrait will depict. For personal portraits, you’ll share reference photos, and I’ll guide you in choosing the image that will translate best into a painting.

2. Agreement
Once the direction is clear, I prepare a simple agreement outlining size, timeline, and cost. A signed agreement and 50% deposit reserve your place on my schedule.

3. Creating Your Piece
After the agreement is in place, I gather materials and begin the painting process. Most commissions take 8–12 weeks to complete. Finished pieces can be shipped or picked up.

4. Cost
Custom pieces begin at $7,000, with final pricing based on size and complexity.

Interested in exploring an idea? I’d be happy to start the conversation.
