OLDER WORK
Unlike traditional portraiture, my intention is not to capture a likeness, but to form questions about an underlying story. I construct narratives that are intentionally ambiguous, leaving room for the viewer to interpret and respond through their own personal experiences and cultural programming. Seeing the range of responses a piece can illicit is one of the joys of creating my work.
