I’m inspired by the quiet beauty and mystery in ordinary life. I explore those qualities by experimenting with color, texture and composition, and am often surprised by the relationships that emerge. For me, making art is a journey full of those discoveries.

I hope viewers will move in close and ponder the layers of color, pattern and texture, deciding for themselves what might lie below the surface.

I'm a mixed-media artist living and working in Richmond, Virginia. Through a combination of painting, drawing and collage I explore relationships and the individual's place in the world.
